Baroque Motifs

I know this isn’t new stuff but it’s new to me. I knew that this set is quite popular and when I uploaded this to SCS, I just realized how many people just love using this set. But, despite it’s popularity and all the neat designs that I saw before I uploaded, I had a really hard time with it. I turned my card around how ever many times, thought of what to stamp, how to stamp, etc. I spent a loooong time on this card and what did I get? Maybe something that would take somebody 5 minutes to do :\

The good news is that I’m trying hard to get in the groove again. The bad news is that I’m spending so much time on one card. Glad I don’t do this for a living, ha!

Material:

Ink: Craft White, Versamark
Paper: Real Red, Wasabi, 2007 yellow paper, Sky Blue
Accessories: Ribbon, button and brad, clear embossing powder

Not SU item: Beads, bought at WalMart

Glad you’re getting into your stamping groove….sometimes it takes a while when you get away from it for a bit! I like your embossed medallions….and the bling. I recently got this set too…and need to get some ink on it!! Thanks for sharing!!

I know what you mean about time. I’ve been known to fiddle with some lame card for hours trying to make it “right” - when I really should just trash it and start over with a different idea. Oh well, I just tell myself I learn something from each card I make.

I just got this set in my order last week. I hesitated to order it since it isn’t a style I usually work with, but I’ve seen such great stuff made with it. I hope I can figure it out how to get it to work, too.

I know just how you feel when you spend so much time and then you look back and think it took me an hour to do THAT?!? I like the card, no matter how long it took!
